- NSW CTP GREEN SLIP INSURANCE
- In NSW, Compulsory Third Party (CTP) Personal Injury Insurance, also known as a ‘Green Slip’ is regulated by the State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA).
CTP is mandatory in NSW and must be purchased before you can register your vehicle. It is purchased separately to your vehicle registration.
CTP covers your liability and the liability of anyone else who drives your vehicle, for injuries caused to others in a motor accident
NSW CTP also provides you with access to medical expenses and weekly payments for lost income, for up to six months if you’re injured and you’re at fault. More about NSW CTP claims
- ACT CTP INSURANCE
- In the ACT your preferred CTP insurer is nominated on your registration form when you register your vehicle.
CTP forms part of your total registration payment to Access Canberra. Simply select AAMI on your Rego papers.

- Car theft and accidental damage

- Damage to other people’s vehicles and property
You’re also covered for damage to someone else’s vehicle or property up to $20 million.
- Accessories and Modifications
At AAMI we cover all legal modifications and accessories fitted to your car, there’s usually no need to list them on your policy. Just ensure the amount you cover your car for is enough to also include the value of all the insured accessories and modifications.

Get 24/7 Australia-wide roadside assistance if your car breaks down, gets a flat battery or flat tyre, you’re locked out of your car or lose your car keys, run out of fuel, or need to be towed. Offers roadside callouts for less than $86 a year.
- Hire Car
With optional hire car cover, enjoy the convenience of a hire car when your car’s out of action because of an incident, even if it’s your fault. We’ll cover reasonable hire costs until your claim is settled or your car is returned to you.
Third Party Property Damage
Third Party Car Insurance covers damage you cause to other people’s vehicles + property only. This is a different form of cover to Compulsory Third Party Insurance (also known as a ‘CTP or ‘Green Slip’), which covers your liability to pay compensation for injuries to other people.

- Covers you for up to $20 million worth of damage that you cause to other people’s vehicles and property only.
